The Many Threats of the Mazeworks
The dangers that can be found within the halls of the Maze are many and varied. Luckily, we need only concern ourselves for those that range closest to the Keeper and the halls that haven't drifted too far from it's room at the center of the Mazeworks.
The Omega Engine
So far, only its drones have been encountered by any of the current Champions. What's known is that the Engine is in a fixed location of the Maze and it somehow manipulates the minds of anyone living that draws too close to it. What happens to those Champions we cannot say, but gruesome things can be guessed; the drones it sends out to it's furthest reaches seem intent on harvesting the body parts of Champions they run across. A lucky, or perhaps cursed, few have been seen taken alive
The Chinen
A particularly strong breed of vampire that was introduced to the Mazeworks by a Champion many cycles ago. They were thought wiped out, even before the mysterious MazeStorm a handful of old Champions speak of, but were spotted again recently.
